I. Membership Criteria
Board certified in country of residence or practice which corresponds to the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, Consejo Mexican de Orthopedia, or the American Osteopathic Association. Applicants must practice or reside in a country other than the continent of North America.
II. Documents Needed
- Narrative/personal statement reflecting possible contributions to AANA
- CV
- Proof of certification by the Orthpaedic Board or college in the country of residence/practice. The Board should correspond to the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, Consejo Mexican de Orthopedia, or the American Osteopathic Association.
III. Application Fee
$100.00 application fee. American Express not accepted.
IV. Sponsors Needed Search for sponsors
You will need your sponsors e-mail address to send them the form.
1 Active member and 1 colleague (does not have to be a member) from country of residence or practice
or
2 Active members
Your application will not be complete until both of your sponsor forms have arrived at the AANA office. Please check the Application Status page periodically to see what sponsors have arrived.
V. Membership Obligations
- Pay any required dues and assessments
- adhere to all rules, regulations and criteria of International Membership as outlined in AANA’s Bylaws.
The system will allow you to start the application and finish it later if you don’t have all of your documents readily available. If you click the FINISH LATER button, you will be given an application number. Please retain that number. When you enter the system again to finish the application, you will be asked to supply the application number and the e-mail address you input on the application in the office information section to continue.
