Special Look at Washington Tour
Thursday, April 24
Assemble: 8:45 am
Departure: 9:00 am
Return: 1:00 pm

You will enjoy a complete overview of the Captial City. The riding tour will include Federal Square, Lafayette Park and the White House. You will travel down the parade route of Pennsylvania Avenue passing the Federal Triangle government buildings, the FBI Building, the landmark Old Post Office and the U.S. Capital Building. Proceeding to the nearby mall area, you will pass the many buildings belonging to the Smithsonian Institution as well as the National Gallery of Art. You will pass the towering Washington Monument and the new World War II Memorial. Finally you will arrive at the Lincoln Memorial.

A short walk from the Lincoln Memorial you will enjoy the Korean War Veterans Memorial. The memorial sits besides the Tidal Basin home of the world famous Japanese Cherry Blossom Trees. The next stop will be Arlington National Cemetery to visit the grave of President John F. Kennedy and the Tomb of the Unknowns.

AANA PALS Walk For Breast Cancer Research
Friday, April 25

7:45 am – Warm up
8:00 am – Walk begins

Bring your walking shoes, your children, including those in baby strollers for the 2nd AANA PALS Walk for Breast Cancer Research. This is a chance to spend some time together and to do something else at the same time – support Breast Cancer Research. Donations can be made to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. The walk route will be approximately 1.5 miles long.

Hillwood Museum and Gardens Tour

You will visit one of the grandest residences in all of Washington. The Hillwood Museum is the former estate of Marjorie Merriweather Post, cereal heiress and grand dame of Washington Society. Built in 1926, this opulent 40 room Georgian mansion houses a plethora of extraordinary art work and furnishings. View Hillwood’s collection of Russian treasurers, which many believe to be the most representative outside Russia itself. See elaborate icons, priceless gold and silver pieces, gleaming porcelain artifacts, and an extensive array of dazzling Faberge eggs. The grounds of Hillwood, covering 25 of the most beautiful acres in Washington, contain treasurers of an altogether different kind. Visit the enchanting French and Japanese formal gardens, as well an an authentic replica of a dacha, or Russian summer house. Explore the renowned greenhouse, teeming with over 5,000 varieties of rare orchids.
