Course 401: State of the Art Management of Subscapularis Tears: An Evidenced-Based Approach

At the completion of this course, the participant will 1) learn how to discriminate between degenerative subscapularis lesions that require treatment and those which represent incidental findings; 2) know etiology of tears of the subscapularis; 3) learn diagnostic techniques for evaluation of the symptomatic subscapularis lesion; 4) know advantages of both open and arthroscopic treatment of subscapularis lesions.
Course 402: Optimizing Proximal and Distal Patellofemoral Realignment including Medial Patellofemoral Ligament Reconstruction

At the completion of this course, the participant will 1) understand the anatomy and biomechanics of the stabilization of the patellofemoral joint; 2) understand the indications for proximal and distal realignments; 3) learn details of techniques for patellar realignment surgery including MPFL reconstruction and tubercle osteotomies; 4) gain an understanding into complex and fatal instability problems, including medial patellar instability and cartilage restoration.
Course 403: Clinical Update of MRIs and Ultrasound in Orthopaedics: How to Enhance your Interpretation of Diagnostic Studies

At the completion of this course, the participant will 1) learn how to reliably read articular cartilage on MRI and how to objectively assess repair techniques; 2) become familiar with new MRI techniques to assess cartilage ultrastructure; 3) Assess femoroacetabular impingement and labral tears using MRI; 4) learn how ultrasound can be clinically efficacious in everyday orthopaedic practice.

At the completion of this course, the participant will 1) learn how to research and organize an effective podium presentation including how to craft a valuable reference handout; 2) appreciate how to engage your audience, deliver your message dynamically and leave them with a "pocket-full-of-pearls"; 3) know how to harness the "Power" in MS PowerPoint: Increasing the impact of your presentation through visually-appealing slides, orchestrated timing, graphic enhancement, animation and linked video clips; 4) understand how to organize, write and submit a compelling abstract including an interesting hypothesis, clearly communicated materials and methods, accurate data summary and justifiable conclusions.
