Course 101: Complex Topics in Shoulder Arthroscopy: Rational Approaches to Internal Impingement, Multidirectional Instability, Revision Bankart Repair and Partial Thickness Tears of the Rotator Cuff
Richard K.N. Ryu, MD – Coordinator
Stephen S. Burkhart, MD
Edward G. McFarland, MD
Felix H. Savoie, III, MD

At the completion of this course, the participant will 1) understand the pathoanatomy, indications and techniques for evaluating and treating internal impingement, multidirectional instability, partial thickness rotator cuff tears and failed Bankart repairs; 2) observe case presentations that will highlight the decision-making process.

Course 102: Arthroscopic Management of Shoulder Pathology in the Throwing Athlete
Jeffrey S. Abrams, MD – Coordinator
Ronald E. Glousman, MD
Craig D. Morgan, MD

At the conclusion of this course, the participant will 1) reveiw techniques to evaluate and treat the overhead athlete: adolescent through high profile pitcher; 2) review arthroscopic techniques such as: selective posterior capsular releases, SLAP repairs, capsular placation, PASTA cuff repair, and modified subacromical decompression.

Course 103: Complex Issues in Knee Arthroscopy: Effective Approaches to Revision ACL Surgery, Articular Cartilage Resurfacing and Osteotomy
Thomas R. Carter, MD – Coordinator
Brian J. Cole, MD, MBA
Robert B. Litchfield, MD

At the completion of this course, the participant will 1) understand the decision processes for choosing complex ligament injuries, articular cartilage lesions and osteotomy procedures; 2) learn way to avoid the more common complications associated with the procedures; 3) understand how to resolve complications that occur with these complex surgeries.

Course 104: State of the Art in PCL Surgery: Optimizing Tunnel Selection, Tensioning and Fixation
David A. McGuire, MD – Coordinator
Donald H. Johnson, MD
Mark D. Miller, MD

At the completion of this course, the participant will 1) be familiar with the options available to reconstruct posterior cruciate ligament deficient knees; 2) explore controversies associated with PCL reconstruction, single vs. double bundle, allogeneic vs. autogenous grafts, and arthroscopic vs. inlay/open techniques; 3) discuss both PCL reconstruction tibial inlay and double bundle Achilles techniques; 4) discuss indications for reconstruction, graft selection, tunnel positioning, and graft tensioning and fixation.

Course 105: Advanced Ankle and Subtalar Arthroscopy
Annunziato Amendola, MD – Coordinator
Richard D. Ferkel, MD
James W. Stone, MD
James P. Tasto, MD

At the completion of this course, the participant will 1) understand the indications of arthroscopy of the ankle and subtalar joint in conjunction with other procedures around the foot and ankle; 2) understand the preoperative planning process for these combined procedures; 3) understand the technical components in performing these types of surgeries.

Course 106: Navigating Industry Relationships: Critical Review of Standards of Professionalism
Gregory C. Fanelli, MD – Coordinator
Ron Clark, MD
Kathleen McDermott, JD
Nigel Wilkinson

At the completion of this course, the participant will 1) understand the current rules and regulations governing physician industry relationships; 2) understand how physicians and industry can interact to advance the field of arthroscopic and orthopaedic surgery; 3) understand the perspectives of the physician, industry and the department of justice in physician industry relationships.
