This comprehensive surgical skills course will encompass basic and advanced wrist and elbow procedures, highlighting pearls to avoid complications and ensure clinical success. Controversies of treatment will also be emphasized to help guide treatment decisions. This will be accomplished through lectures and surgical demonstrations by leading faculty, hands-on cadaveric surgical labs, and panel discussions and case presentations. This course is designed for both the beginning and advanced arthroscopist, including a precourse questionnaire to best pair instructors to participants ensuring their goals of the course will be satisfied.

Learning Objectives

At the completion of this course the participant will be able to:

  1. Comprehend the fundamentals of wrist and elbow arthroscopy: including anatomy, indications, patient positioning, portals and other elements to avoid complications
  2. Identify wrist and elbow surgeries to ensure surgical success and identifying controversies
  3. Improved surgical skills of wrist and elbow arthroscopy; specifically, in treating TFCC tears, wrist ganglion, wrist (carpal and DRUJ) instability, wrist fractures, wrist arthritis, lateral epicondylitis, elbow arthritis, OCDs of elbow, elbow instability (UCL & LUCL), distal biceps and triceps tendon tears

The primary target audience for Treatments for Wrist & Elbow Problems is AANA members and other healthcare professionals who desire to improve their arthroscopic knowledge, competence, performance, and patient outcomes.

AANA has determined the need for this live educational activity based on identifying professional practice gaps, previous course evaluations and the AANA Self Assessment Examination. The educational content of this activity was based upon current issues and topics provided by AANA planning committees and membership.


The Arthroscopy Association of North America is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
