Henry Ford Hospital/Wayne State University Program

The Orthopedic Sports Medicine Fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit is an ACGME approved, one year fellowship in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine. Our faculty embrace the practice of sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery. Five faculty, all trained at different fellowships, bring a rich and broad in-depth learning experience for the fellow. At HFH we have cine-radiography motion analysis, a state of the art lab found only at one other institution in the world at this time. We have 5 PhD laboratory faculty and over 20 orthopedic surgeons of all specialties to enrich the learning environment. Our fellow assists with instruction of the residents during arthroscopic labs, didactic lectures, anatomy dissections and the knee simulator. We provide medical care for 10 high schools and 4 local colleges. The fellow will have the opportunity to become comfortable with musculoskeletal ultrasound and its use in the clinical setting.
