The application window for 2022 Advanced Lab Course Scholarships is now closed.


The AANA Education Foundation will award eight scholarships for Orthopaedic Surgeons to attend one Advanced Lab Course in Rosemont, Illinois. These courses offer arthroscopic surgeons of all career stages an ideal opportunity to learn the latest techniques and helpful pearls from leading surgeons.

The scholarship includes:

  • Registration to one 2022 Advanced Lab Course.
  • Up to $500 in travel reimbursements to defray lodging and transportation costs.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants must be a member of AANA in good standing.
  • Applicants must complete the scholarship application, including CV and personal statement, and provide a letter of recommendation.


  • The AANA Education Foundation will grant up to eight scholarships in 2022.
  • Each recipient will receive registration to their chosen Advanced Lab Course along with up to $500 for reimbursement of travel expenses. Funding must be used within the year the scholarship is granted.
  • If you need to cancel less than 60 days before the course you have registered for, you will forfeit the scholarship.

Application Deadline

  • The deadline to submit an application is Thursday, March 31, 2022.


  • Application form and supporting material must be received by March 31, 2022. Incomplete application(s) received after this date will not be considered.
  • Your personal statement (not to exceed 500 words) should describe what you hope to learn by attending an Advanced Lab Course and your plan for instructing others in the future.
  • Complete the application and submit your CV, personal statement and letter of recommendation.
