AANA Advanced Procedure-Specific Surgical Experience for the Knee and Shoulder Scholarship
The AANA Education Foundation is offering three scholarships to attend the 2023 AANA Advanced Procedure-Specific Surgical Experience for the Knee and Shoulder at the Orthopaedic Learning Center in Rosemont, Illinois. Each scholarship will cover the full course registration fee and up to $500 in travel reimbursement.
This course is designed for the advanced arthroscopist, focusing on the latest techniques in shoulder/knee arthroscopy and arthroplasty. AANA’s world-class faculty will provide one-on-one hands-on training for a truly personalized experience. Participants can choose shoulder, knee or both during this intensive, interactive 2 ½ day event.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be a U.S. member of AANA in good standing.
- Applicants must complete the scholarship application, including CV and personal statement, and provide a letter of recommendation.
- Applicants must not have received any AANA Scholarship in the past 12 months.
Scholarship Details
- Each recipient will receive registration for the course along with up to $500 in reimbursement of travel expenses. Funding must be used exclusively for this course.
- If you need to cancel less than 60 days before the course, you will forfeit the scholarship.
Application Details
- Application form and supporting material must be submitted by May 15, 2023. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.
- Application must include the completed online form, a CV, personal statement and letter of recommendation. The personal statement should describe how you will implement the knowledge gained from the course (teach others, convey to program director, etc.)

AANA Lab Course Scholarship
Thanks to funding from the AANA Education Foundation, AANA is offering six scholarships (3 per course) to attend an AANA Lab Course (see dates below) at the OLC in Rosemont, Illinois. Each scholarship will cover course registration and up to $500 in travel reimbursement.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be a U.S. member of AANA in good standing
- Applicants must complete the scholarship application, including CV and personal statement, and provide a letter of recommendation.
- Members can apply for multiple scholarships throughout the year, but will only be awarded one scholarship per calendar year
Application Details
- Application form and supporting material must be received by May 15, 2023. Incomplete application(s) received after this date will not be considered.
- Application must include the completed online form, a CV, personal statement (not exceeding 500 words) and letter of recommendation. The personal statement should describe why you should be selected to attend this event or course.
- If you need to cancel less than 60 days before the course you have registered for, you will forfeit the scholarship.

International Education Scholarship

Description
The AANA Education Foundation will award 50 scholarships for Orthopaedic Residents to attend the AANA Annual Meeting PGY3, PGY4 or PGY5 Orthopaedic Residents residing in the United States,
Canada or Mexico during the 2022-2023 academic year and who have an interest in minimally invasive or
arthroscopic surgery are encouraged to apply.
