AANA is excited to announce a new partnership with DocMatter , a global medical community platform that brings the knowledge of surgeon peers directly to the surgeon. The partnership, which joins two organizations committed to improving patient care and outcomes, will create a community for high-quality, clinical discussions among AANA members.
DocMatter provides not just personalized support for each surgeon, but also organizes discussions to decrease the time and effort it requires to collaborate and increase future referenceability. The AANA DocMatter Community allows for quick and individualized access to the most relevant professionals and data at any time.
Among other exciting aspects, the AANA DocMatter Community will contain unique features such as a personal Clinician Advocate – a DocMatter employee who will be available to connect AANA members to the right medical experts. The Clinician Advocate will be available to support use of the platform, from technical questions to customizing notifications, settings and overall experience based on specific clinical interests, as well as being available to transcribe dictated notes to post to the Community.
This AANA-exclusive community will also allow for more open, in-depth discussions between members; from questions on cases to best practices, AANA members will now be able to connect with their peers easier than ever before.
"We are very excited to embark on this new relationship with AANA and to officially establish the AANA DocMatter Community," says Patrick Masterson, DocMatter Society and Foundation Partnership Manager. "It’s our hope that our platform and services support AANA members’ professional growth, leading to positive impacts on their practices, and patient outcomes."
"DocMatter provides a convenient virtual outlet for personal, peer-to-peer connections, offering an additional avenue for our members to both engage with and further learn from each other," says Laura Downes, AANA CEO.
