910 - Patellofemoral Joint Preservation

View the Industry Spotlight Demo Saturday, September 7 at 1:00 PM Central Daylight Time!

When: September 6–7, 2019
Where: The Orthopaedic Learning Center (OLC) - Rosemont, IL 60018

This one-of-a-kind subspecialty skills course will focus on a comprehensive surgical approach to patellofemoral joint preservation. We provide the unique opportunity for one-on-one cadaveric instruction and the opportunity to engage with renowned experts in the field. Principles will be reinforced through a multifaceted approach including concise lectures, technique videos and live demonstrations, case-based small group and panel discussions, and hands-on cadaveric opportunities. Participants will refine their skills performing tibial tubercle osteotomies (i.e. AMZ, distalization, anteriorization), soft tissue stabilization (i.e. MPFL, lateral lengthening, MPTL, patellar tendon shortening) and advanced cartilage restoration techniques (OATS, microfracture plus, MACI, osteochondral allograft and more). Emphasis will be placed on surgical decision-making, pearls to optimize outcome, and tips to minimize complications. This course is geared towards knee surgeons who wish to improve their understanding and technical prowess in patellofemoral joint preservation.
