Learn the latest arthroscopic techniques in hip preservation with AANA’s Advanced Hip Arthroscopy - From Posterior Hip to Groin Disorders Course. During this 2 ½ day training course, attendees will engage in a series of lectures, interactive case-based presentations, live focus demonstrations on the posterior and lateral hip and over 10 hours of hands-on lab sessions dedicated to improving techniques and surgical skills in hip arthroscopy. Featured topics include the evaluation and surgical management of ischiofemoral impingement, proximal hamstring and gluteus medius tears, groin injuries, FAI and labral reconstruction. Covering everything from perfect portals to capsular management, this course is designed for intermediate arthroscopic hip surgeons desiring to update their skill portfolio.

Train as a Team
AANA Lab Courses courses were designed with the whole surgical team in mind. Physician attendees are strongly encouraged to bring their PA, NP, RN, or other support staff. There is no better way to prepare for real-world OR situations than to train together.
At the completion of this course the participant will be able to:
- Evaluate and manage clinical presentation associated with common hip disorders and define performance outcomes
- Develop and practice surgical skill access to the hip joint
- Evaluate and apply arthroscopic and endoscopic techniques for hip disorders

The primary target audience for Advanced Hip Arthroscopy is AANA members and other healthcare professionals who desire to improve their arthroscopic knowledge, competence, performance, and patient outcomes.
Statement of Need
AANA has determined the need for this live educational activity based on identifying professional practice gaps, previous course evaluations and the AANA Self-Assessment Examination. The educational content of this activity was based upon current issues and topics provided by AANA planning committees and membership.

This activity may also help fulfill the Maintenance of Certification credit requirements mandated by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
