Resident/Fellow Course - Frequently Asked Questions

  1. How do I register for a course?
    You may register online for all courses. Navigate to the webpage for the course you wish to attend and if the course is not sold out, there will be a green register button.

    It is probable that your email address was entered incorrectly or your spam filter blocked the email. To verify AANA has received your registration, please email us at
  4. Am I registered?
    If you have completed the online registration, you should receive a confirmation immediately.
  5. Am I an AANA member?

  6. What is the refund/cancellation policy?
    Refunds are subject to a non-refundable $500.00 processing fee, and must be made four weeks prior to the start of the course. Cancellations must be made four weeks prior to a course. All refunds and cancellations must be written and sent to the AANA office. Read our Refund Policy for full details.
  7. Can I transfer to another course?
    You may switch courses within the same year by notifying the AANA office in writing at least four weeks prior to the course. A $200.00 transfer fee will apply. Read our Refund Policy for full details.
  8. How do I request a letter of invitation?
    If you need a letter of invitation you will need to register for the course and pay for it prior to receiving a letter of invitation. Once you have registered for the course, please email us at
  9. Will there be bilingual instructors?
    Instructors vary from course to course. It is in the best interest of the registrant to speak/understand English.
  10. Can I attend a course if I’m not a member?
    Yes, AANA Courses are available to all Orthopaedic Surgeons.
  11. Does housing come with the registration fee?
    No, housing is not included in the registration fee. For your convenience, AANA has a hotel block at the Hampton Inn Rosemont Chicago O'Hare for each course. View the travel information section on the course page for full details.
  12. What airport should I fly into?
    O’Hare International Airport is 5 minutes from the OLC and Hampton Inn.
  13. How far is the Hampton Inn from the OLC?
    100 meters.
  14. What is the course attire?
    The attire is casual, mainly scrubs being in and out of the lab.
  15. Are there scholarships available?
    Yes, a limited number of scholarships are available for resident/fellows in North American Orthopaedic programs to attend courses other than the Residents/Fellows Course. Please email us at

    After your course, sign in to your My CME page. From there you will be able to download a PDF of your CME history. If you need to retrieve your username and password or require additional assistance, please call us at (847) 292-2262.
