Embracing the Future Together
In April 2025, the Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA) and the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM) co-located the spring meetings of the Boards of Directors. On behalf of both groups, we express our sincere appreciation for the longstanding and productive relationship between our organizations.
As we look to the future of orthopaedic sports medicine and arthroscopy, this moment presents an opportunity to reaffirm and strengthen our mutual commitment to collaboration—particularly in the areas of education, research, and fellowship development.
The alignment between AANA and AOSSM has never been stronger. From co-sponsored initiatives to our increasingly complementary educational goals, our shared efforts have consistently delivered meaningful impact. With this momentum, we have identified several key initiatives to continue building on our strategic partnership, including joint educational programming, collaborative research initiatives, and fellowship development and standardization.
We also remain open to new avenues of collaboration that support our missions and extend our collective impact. Opportunities may include patient advocacy, global outreach, and industry partnerships—each rooted in a shared vision for excellence and service.
This partnership represents more than collaboration—it reflects our shared responsibility to lead, innovate, and elevate the standards of orthopaedic care. We welcome continued dialogue to shape a strategic roadmap that will guide our joint efforts into the future.
This is a defining and wholly positive moment in the evolution of our partnership, underscoring our enduring commitment to excellence in orthopaedic sports medicine and arthroscopy.
The future is bright.
