Research Awards
Awards will be selected from approved abstracts that were submitted to the Annual Meeting. Candidates will be contacted by the Research Committee informing them that their abstract is being considered for one of the awards listed below.
Awards and honorariums are:

- $1,000 honorarium
- Award plaque
- Recognition of paper at AANA's Annual Meeting for “Best” Resident/Fellow Paper
- Submission of the paper for consideration for publication in Arthroscopy: The Journal of Arthroscopic and Related Surgery
Richard J. O'Connor, M.D. Research Award
- $2,000 honorarium
- Award plaque
- Recognition of paper at AANA's Annual Meeting for “Best” Overall Paper
- Submission of the paper for consideration for publication in Arthroscopy: The Journal of Arthroscopic and Related Surgery
Patellofemoral Anatomy Research Excellence Award
- $5,000 honorarium
- Award plaque
- Recognition of paper at AANA's Annual Meeting for “Best” Patellofemoral Paper

Stephen S. Burkhart, M.D. Shoulder Innovation Award
- $2,000 honorarium

AANA Diversity & Inclusion Research Award
