The Arthroscopy Journals Are Changing Publisher

Starting January 1, 2026, Arthroscopy: The Journal of Arthroscopic and Related Surgery, and the two open access journals, Arthroscopy Techniques and Arthroscopy, Sports Medicine, and Rehabilitation are changing publishers and moving from Elsevier to Wiley.

This business decision was taken following a thorough review of the top medical publishers’ capabilities and business proposals.

Please note that the January 2026 issue of Arthroscopy will mail in January from Wiley to all members who take print. The final issue from Elsevier – December 2025 – will mail toward the end of November. This means that you will not receive a print issue during December.  There’s no need to worry about not receiving your January issue in December. The printing and mailing schedule at the new publisher will have copies mailing out during the cover month, not the previous month as is currently the case.

The entire online archive of the three journals is currently being transferred to Wiley. Elsevier will continue to host the content through December. Wiley will start hosting all content, including the archives back to the first issues, starting January 2, 2026. Your login information will not change.
