Scope of Excellence
Elevate your expertise and demonstrate mastery of advanced surgical skills, and command over joint-specific procedures by achieving a prestigious certificate in the AANA Scope of Excellence program. The inaugural year of the program will encompass several significant milestones, each a steppingstone on the remarkable journey toward attaining this coveted distinction.
The Scope of Excellence journey:
- Application and acceptance into the program, deadline is January 1, 2024
- Complete the joint-specific online exam to identify skills gaps.
- Receive an AANA Leader as your mentor throughout the program.
- Discuss clinical cases, skills gaps and other questions with your mentor.
- Attend AANA24 and a list of sessions your mentor has identified for you.
- Attend an AANA Lab Course addressing the joint of your choice and work with your mentor through a baseline procedures skills test to ensure proficiency.
- Retake the online exam to demonstrate that you have closed any remaining skills gaps.
- Receive your Scope of Excellence certificate, digital badge – along with fanfare throughout the AANA community!
Only four Scope of Excellence candidates per joint. The application deadline is January 1, 2024.

PRICING:
The $100 application fee will be applied to the total cost of the program, once you are accepted. Each program is $6,000 and INCLUDES registrations for the 2024 AANA Annual Meeting and AANA Lab Course.

- Shoulder Arthroscopy – August 23-24, 2024 at the OLC in Rosemont, IL
- Knee Arthroscopy – September 13-14, 2024 at the OLC in Rosemont, IL
- Hip Arthroscopy – September 13-14, 2024 at the OLC in Rosemont, IL
