AANA Announces Inaugural Strategic Leadership Academy Participants

AANA is pleased to announce the selection of Aravind Athiviraham, M.D., FAANA and Alan Zhang, M.D., FAANA as the inaugural participants in its 2027 Strategic Leadership Academy.

Developed from the vision of AANA Past President John D. Kelly IV, M.D., FAANA, the Strategic Leadership Academy is a comprehensive, yearlong program designed to foster personal and professional growth while preparing the next generation of leaders in orthopaedic surgery.

Beginning in January 2027, Drs. Athiviraham and Zhang will participate in a leadership development experience that includes mentorship, executive coaching and opportunities to strengthen the skills needed to lead within their practices, professional organizations and the broader orthopaedic community.

The Academy reflects AANA's commitment to investing in emerging leaders and providing meaningful opportunities for professional development beyond clinical practice.
