New Fellows Named to the Catalyst™ Research Mentorship Program


We are excited to welcome the newest participants in the Catalyst™ Longitudinal Sports Medicine Research Mentorship Program – an innovative collaboration among AANA, AOSSM and SOMOS. Building on the success of the MAST Research Grants Program, Catalyst™ is designed to develop and support the next generation of clinician-scientists in sports medicine.

 

Catalyst provides an immersive 18-month educational experience that combines:

  • Structured online research training through LearnORS
  • Personalized mentorship from senior research leaders
  • Collaborative in-person engagement with fellow researchers and mentors

 

Meet Our Newest Fellows

Following a competitive review process, the Catalyst Steering Committee is pleased to welcome three outstanding mid-career researchers to the program:

  • David Bernholt, M.D. – University of Cincinnati (Representing AANA)
  • Ting Cong, M.D. – University of Pittsburgh (Representing AOSSM)
  • Patrick Mescher, M.D. – A.T. Augusta Military Medical Center (Representing SOMOS)

 

We are also pleased to announce Brian Feeley, M.D., University of California, San Francisco, as the program’s Senior Scientist Mentor. Dr. Feeley will guide and support participants throughout this dynamic 18-month experience.
