Day 1: University of Iowa

Day 1 kicked off for the 2026 Traveling Fellows as they arrived safely in Cedar Rapids, Iowa for their first site visit at the University of Iowa! They were picked up by University of Iowa Residents and Fellows and whisked away for dinner.

On the way to dinner, they saw the new University of Iowa Orothpaedic Hospital from a distance – amping up the excitement of visiting on Day 2.

The Traveling Fellows and Godfather were greeted at dinner with a big group of University of Iowa Sports and Shoulder Surgeons, led by host, Dr. Robert Westermann

The evening continued as the Traveling Fellows, Godfather and hosts continued to get to know each other over drinks after dinner.
